Harry Freeman and Son Limited
Established in southern Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1830’s, the Freeman family has proudly been producing quality timber products for nearly two hundred years. Over that time the business has been faced with a number of challenges, from two World Wars and the intervening Great Depression, to floods and fire, the last of which totally destroyed mill operations in 1990. Understanding and honouring their family’s long history and commitment as one of the region's largest employers, with established longstanding customer relationships across the world, the Freeman family erected two of the most technically advanced saw mills on the eastern seaboard directly above the ashes. In the last decade they have continually upgraded operations and production processes to maintain their position as one of the most modern facilities in Eastern Canada.
